2 rx580 4gb help

Go to solution Solved by RAM555789,

TBH is most worth it to outright invest in something like bitcoin and then wait for the currency to increase in value. It's like buying a stock, in the stock market really. The amount that computer is going to cost you, you're not going to realistically earn back in the amount of time that hardware will last you.

if you are building that strictly for mining, you are wasting a ton of money.  2 RX 580's will make roughly $1.50 USD/day each on nicehash with current market values.

As for being efficient and profitable with your electric rates. well i cant help you there as i have no clue what the rates are in HK.

With that build right there, it would probably be close to 24month ROI which is terrible.

Would you suggest alternatives?

not without knowing exactly what you want to use the system for. If this is going to be a multi-use system, or strictly a mining machine, and depending on what your power rates are per kw/h.

you can lookup profitability on a few different sites that will give you very rough guesses at what kind of mining performance and price per dollar will come down to.

Probably a multi-use with mining when I am not using it for gaming/rendering. What would the optimal system be with the fastest ROI

if you are going to use it for gaming with occasional mining in your down time, then doing worry about what you are building, build what you want as you'll never get an ROI with a casual use mining system (or it will atleast take for-ever).

And if you are gaming, i highly recommend ditching those RX580's and putting a single GTX 1070/70ti/80/80ti or a Vega card if you want to stick with AMD.
