would adding a side fan help GPU temps

Go to solution Solved by Vindola,

Hey,

Sorry if it seems like I am spamming, I would just like to know if adding a side fan right on the gpu help a gpu with a blower cooler.

THANKS!

A bit. The benefits of it will not be seen in performance, but temperatures might drop 2 - 3 degrees when it's running at max. On the longer run, this can give slightly extra lifetime to the GPU. However, even if you didn't place a fan, by the time the GPU dies it will probably be really outdated.

Nothing drastic, but if your case isn't particularly well ventilated then it can't hurt anything.

I see no difference when my side fan is disconnected or connected. (I have a reference blower card) I guess it really depends on the computer case if you have little airflow you will benefit but if you have a case with really airflow you will me like me and see no difference.
