so my friend found a thrown pc near his house (yes it was thrown, he didnt steal it or anything as far as i know, lol).

he opened it to see what's in it, the only good thing he found was a GPU (we still dont know what kind of GPU it is, but it seems like a good one as it has 2 fans so seems like good quality).

we decided to put it in his own pc (just an old one) to see if it works so hopefully he can use it for his own pc that im building him soon.

but we are kinda scared, as we dont want it to damage the pc that im building for him.

so let's say it's a broken GPU, will it damage ANYTHING in the new pc build?

Extremely unlikely. And the only thing that might get damaged is the PCI-E slot you plug it in.
