What's is going to happen if I bought 2 different gpu and used them in 1 pc ? 

For example rx 480 and r9 390x ?? 

It's gonna work ? , higher fps ?

They won't work together for gaming and only the one your monitor is plugged into will work (for gaming).

They will work independently from each other. Games will not use both unless they implemented DX12 multiGPU or some equivalent support (You can pair NVidia and AMD GPUs this way, but this type of game is very very few.).
