Hey, my brother has an old PC. He mostly plays LoL. He wants to play other new games, but his PC isn't good enough. HDD is kinda crap as well. So I decided I will build him a PC. Anyway, this is what I came up with:

CPU: AMD FX-6300 - 105€

GPU: AMD HD 7870 - 172€

MB: ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 - 97€

SSD: ADATA SP600 128GB - 78€

HDD: WD Blue 1TB - 56€

PSU: Enermax Triathlor FC ETA550AWT-M 550W - 83€

Cooler: CM Hyper 212 EVO - 31€

RAM: ADATA XPG 2x4GB 1600MHz CL11 - 69€

CASE: Fractal Core 3000 - 67€

Monitor: Acer G246HYLB - 165€

+ some networking sh*t

Questions:

1. Will the MB work with the CPU out of the box?

2. Suggestions for PSU around the same price?

3. What do you think about the Acer monitor?

Feel free to suggest anything :). (except consoles)

Thanks in advance.

I've had too many issues with my 7850. So unless you recieve a card that doesn't like to crash your PC then I'd recommend something like the 7870 or higher instead. (That is if you want to go with AMD)

I meant to write 7870 and I have no idea why I wrote 7850... I guess I'm just tired.

I'm not buying it... I'm just building it. :D I'm saving money for a new PC for me. :D

Ahh. I wanted to build my brother a pc to convert him to the PC master race, but he's going to stick with consoles. It's sad. He has a macbook and he plays emulators and other games on there. He could play so many more emulators and other games in better graphics if he just let me. Oh well, I don't have a considerable amount of money to spend on him.

Where are you shopping?

I've worked with many 7850's and haven't had a problem. You were probably just unlucky.
