Ok, I want to build a PC submerged in mineral oil. I know linus already did one, but puget has stopped selling their case kit. I want to know what a good selection of parts would be for this, and how I would go about constructing a tank.

Specs I’d like:

GTX 1060 6gb

ryzen 5 1600x

16gb DDR4

thx

Main Laptop: Google Pixelbook

Dev mode w/ Cross Enabled

PC: Ryzen 7

1700x / 32GB 2667 / GTX 1080 / 1.5 TB of SSDs / 1TB of HDDs

Monitor: AW3418DW Ultrawide

120hz / 3440x1440 / RGB / Amazonbasics Dual Monitor Arm

2nd Monitor: Dell U2515hx

25 inches / 1440p / Portrait / Amazonbasics Dual Monitor Arm

Are you sure?

It's basically like throwing your parts away since you can't reuse them or resell them, and it's extremely difficult to upgrade to troubleshoot anything.

If you really want to do it for fun then I wont stop you, but I think your pc wont benefit from mineral oil. a 1600x and a 1060 are both very efficient and cool parts and wont benefit from mineral oil at all and since your right and In general for most users it isnt worth the hassle, especially since puget inst making anymore tanks and you would have to diy one. Plus with the money you would spend on mineral oil and construction the case you could get better pc parts like a r7 or a 1070.

Would also like to add that its very hard to do maintenance and as you might have saw, linus case cracked and it was very hard to fix.
