Comparison, AOC AGON AG241QG or Asus ROG Swift PQ248Q?

So, I’m looking for a 24” 1080 p or higher display with G-Sync. I found the two monitors listed on title but am unsure as to which one to go for. They are both the same price (at time of writing) and both suit my needs but which one. I am tempted by the agon due to higher res but the red glossy plastic on the back doesn’t look the greatest. Which one?

Things like RAM and SSD prices seem to go up and down every few years. I always buy that stuff on the lows, and I straight up refuse to buy on the highs. If I really need a part however, I will generally go to the used PC market where I can usually get something reasonably priced there. 

Yeah they seem to have issues with NAND supply. Once they get more factories up and running it should be less of an issue. 

 

I bought a few 480GB on Newegg. Never get their refurb stuff. It's all garbage. Had 63% drive health on all of them. 

 

I actually find hunting for deals and getting super cheap, great systems more fun than buying new.

Well there must be some truth to it. Samsung is investing 9 billion in a Chinese factory to increase production, and is making another 13 billion dollar factory in South Korea. Demand is outpacing supply.

Also in the grand scheme of things, 9 billion is just a drop in the bucket for a company as big as samsung. 

It is, but it's also a huge amount of money regardless of where it comes from

Ah, it's not. It's 1199 on Overclockers. I really wish Amazon would crack down on those grossly inflated "original prices."

You're getting much more from the AG24 if they're the same price, go for it.

 

Why does the red thing even matter, your not even going to be looking at it 99% of the time of you on your PC
