Bottleneck?

Hello, i currently have a r9 380 paired with a I5-4690k and consider upgrading it to a gt 1060 6gb. 

Would there be any bottlenecks? Or is it even worth the upgrade?

That upgrade would be fine.

But if you'd go for a 1070 or higher you might run into some bottlenecks.

In your case & upgrade path you'd follow, It'll work fine.

There wouldn't be any bottlenecks.

 

However it wouldn't be worth the upgrade. If you want to upgrade then upgrading to VEGA 56 makes a lot more sense because of the performance gains.

U sure? I looked at some benchmarks and it looks like a ≈20fps boost

But how much % was the improvement?

 

VEGA 56 or better is worth it from a 380.

 

It wouldn't be worth upgrading my GTX 770 to a 1060.

But vega 56 many expensive.

The 4690k as it stands will bottleneck a 1070 and you will lose around 5-10 fps depending on the game.

I would suggest getting the 1070 and overclocking your CPU if you have a good enough cooler and a good enough PSU.

If not the 1060 is a good choice.

If you can find it at around $400 then buy it. If you can't then get a 1070.
