Especially at 1080p resolution, the 980ti was only released some what 2 years ago and it is still a good performer. It beats out a 1070 when overclocked, but not at stock speeds. 1080p is also the most popular resolution that lots of people predominately play their games on, so it will definitely last you a couple of years.

HEY GUYS.

 

Will a 980 Ti be capable of running games smoothly for another couple of years??? :P

I personally have the ZOTAC AMP EXTREME edition, so just wondering ;)

at 1080p it should game very well for a while and that's all you really need to care about, have fun!

i so very much agree...even if you run at 120FPS at 1440p and you're 16 inch from the display, the difference between high and ultra is really hard to see...i'd say, for MOST games at least. And that's when you're looking for it...while playing? no one can tell.
