help me with gaming build

Go to solution Solved by SquintyG33Rs,

ram speed will only really matter for ryzen. faster the better because the "infinity fabric" bridge talk between the cores runs at ram speed. but it's not the case for intel. this also causes ram to be finicky on ryzen. i think the locked i3 is much weaker than the ryzen 5 chip once you've overclocked it

hi guys my system now is i7 2600k ddr3 1333mhz ram gtx 960 2gb ssd samsung 1 tb hdd

but i wan to make new fresh pc for high 1080p gaming

but what is the best choice  for gaming and why ?

1st build :  i3 8100 , my own gtx 960 2gb , gigabyte z370 hd3 , 2x8 3000mhz ddr4 ram + my ssd and my hdd

                      or

second build 1500x r5 , 1050ti 4gb , msi b350 gaming pro , 2400 mhz ram ddr4 + my ssd and my hdd

1} i have something more questions :

2) who is the difference between for example 2400mhz or 3200mhz or 4000 ..

3)ALL cpu have a corresponding mhz for ram ? .for example 1500x work better with 2400 mhz or with 2666 or 3200 mhz and why ?

4)mhz of ram does matter on gaming ?

5)why userbench show 1st build winner ? ( look photo down)

Thanks for your time guys .. <3 :)

( sorry for my english but i try )

You don't need 3000mhz ram; it makes no difference. 2133mhz is enough. Change the 960 to 1060. Otherwise, you're good! ?

RAM speed has little or no effect on gaming.  However, AMD Ryzen tends to like faster RAM (3000 and up) if you plan on overclocking.  I'd go with the i3 build.  Userbench shows the first as a winner because the i3 is arguably a better gaming CPU and the 1050ti isn't any faster than a 960 in most applications.

He already has the 960.

The 2600K roughly matches or beats those CPUs for gaming. Just upgrade the GPU, and overclock the CPU if you haven't already

:)

he speaks the truth, just OC your i7 to somewhere around 4.5ghz easily and you will get better if not the same performance from that of the other two. With the money you save buy a gtx1060 3gb or 6gb.
