Diffrence between 3d v nand and optane

Is there a diffrence between the two? Cause optane is so expinsive

optane is 3d crosspoint........in theory its faster

3D V nand is still nand with its performance limitations. Xpoint is a new and different technology overcoming those. I have a 900p 280GB expected to arrive today so will see how that feels tonight  For 99.99% of people it probably wont be worth the extra cost, and I'm not sure I'm in that category or not...

Yup. Mine just arrived a moment ago  Can't try it until home from work

 

(this is the U.2 version with cable terminating in M.2)

Can you tel me if you notice any improvements over an ssd cause idk if i should buy it

I think i should buy it insted of buying a regular ssd and having to upgrade later 

This is so future proof with the blazing fast speed
