Windows Wont activate

I changed out my motherboard, thing on the bottom corner said to activate windows, went to settings and said I upgraded hardware, and it said it was now activated. Thing on the bottom corner is still their and in the settings it still says its not updated, anyway how to fix this?

You needed to make a microsoft account to link your key BEFORE changing motherboards.

Yes, this isn't my first time changing motherboards with this Microsoft account on windows 10

Well it should have worked if you're connected to the internet.

Try restarting the PC and installing windows updates.

Did you disable Secure Boot? That can cause it sometimes.

 

Run the Activation troubleshooter again, if it still doesn't reactivate, just go to MS support and tell them. They'll reactivate it for you.

Sometimes you have to actually call them, with a retail copy of windows it will be painless.
