Don't judge me...

Hi everyone! I've decided it's time to upgrade my three year old build because I really want to play COD ww2 (like I said don't judge) but it runs extremely poorly on my pc.

My build:

- CPU: 3.2 GHz Intel Pentium G3258

- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760

- Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97MX-Gaming 5

For the record, I cannot add another graphics card to the motherboard since the other pci real estate is being used by an ethernet card (ethernet is not working on the motherboard).

Thanks so much in advance for any responses!

Definitely CPU first. I've seen gameplay of COD WW2 on the G3258, and it ain't pretty. The game doesn't seem to handle dual cores well in general. If you don't mind not running the latest and greatest platform, an i5 4590 would be a nice upgrade. I had one in the same board and I could BCLK overclock it to 3.7GHz.

Main Rig: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X | RAM: 32GB (2x16GB) KLEVV CRAS XR RGB DDR4-3600 | Motherboard: Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO AX | Storage: 512GB SKHynix PC401, 1TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus, 2x Micron 1100 256GB SATA SSDs | GPU: EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra 10GB | Cooling: ThermalTake Floe 280mm w/ be quiet! Pure Wings 3 | Case: Sliger SM580 (Black) | PSU: Lian Li SP 850W

Server: CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3100 | RAM: 32GB (2x16GB) Crucial DDR4 Pro | Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B550-PLUS AC-HES | Storage: 128GB Samsung PM961, 4TB Seagate IronWolf | GPU: AMD FirePro WX 3100 | Cooling: EK-AIO Elite 360 D-RGB | Case: Corsair 5000D Airflow (White) | PSU: Seasonic Focus GM-850

What's an ethernet graphics card?  Did you mean pci ethernet card?

Have you thought about a USB to ethernet converter?

I would see what is limiting you, if it is the GPU you could see if you could get a used 960 or 770. If it the the CPU, I might just recommend upgrading your Mobo and processor, and maybe getting a Ryzen 1200

Case: InWin 303 Motherboard: Asus TUF X570-Plus Processor: Ryzen R9-3900x GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3070 Ram: 32 GB DDR4 3000 MHZ

PSU: Corsair CX750M Storage: 1TB Intel 660p NVME SSD and a 2TB Seagate 7200RPM HDD Mouse: Logitech G600 Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2014 HeadphonesSteelseries Arctis 7 Audio: Shure PGA58 with a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen

760 SLI is not the way to go regardless, so that's kind of a moot point (although he surely means a PCIE NIC).

he can get a core i5 or core i7 for this motherboard and it'll smash the ryzen through the wall and he dont need to buy a new motherboard or new RAM...your recommendation...yeah...
