goto blebeks picture but in your machine and disable what you do not use then windows will auto default to desired device so system updates are not an issue

Make the analog output the default choice for audio output, since you also have other output as well, it happens a lot when you use HDMI outputs.

Go to sounds, in control panel and see the list.

Assuming your motherboard has realtek chipset, this option should pop up when you plug your headset/headphone

EO0vk.png

are you plug it from front panel? try it on the back panel if it yes.

and if nothing works, try reinstalling drivers for it.

but before that, is your HDMI output working just fine?

My hdmi outputs are working fine, but they don't have speakers or audio outputs to test, also I cant find realtek on my computer, so i downloaded the driver but its not doing anything now

Since it's fine, then it's either your audio port or headphone.

To make sure your headphone is fine, try it from your phone.

and plug it on different ports (backpanel/front panel)

I tried the headphones on my phone, and it worked fine. I tried them on the onboard motherboard ports and it didn't work, neither did the ones on the computer case

mobo is a ASUS PRIME B350-PLUS AM4 AMD B350 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 USB 3.0 HDMI ATX Motherboards - AMD from newegg. I am assuming it has a built in sound card

hmm the picture shows that pciex16 slot is end rail for right channel audio with left channel overlapping

nvidia card has locked out the mobo switching/shareing of the pci lanes

its a classic irq conflict as sound card assuming a cascadedly run pci lanes and is seeing ex16 as locked

so is there a way to fix it?

try moving gpu to bottom slot if possible as this will conflict with only one audio channel

otherwise nvidia needs to do driver tweak

again though i said this normal for nvidia so do web search on geforce 200 series with hdmi audio issues

they can program in a minimum time for lane use into cascade for each lane user as long as cycle time total not exceeded and shortest time holder has enough time for its packet send or recieve minimum

I don;t think the IRQ is overlapping

if I read the graph from this thread.

The audio shared irq with pcie x1 only, not 16 and it's working on HDMI.

is this happen just recently or since you purchased it?

The worst case you might need to RMA your board.

if lane were your internet

50mbps

10 clients get home much each if each has equal share

50mbps * 10%

now if device has minimum load of 1mbps now your 10 clients have 1mbps gurantee with possible increase of (possible boost) upto 40mbps more if only 1 client in demand

the site mobo page has the 2 channels shown on mobo

its the only reason i stated my opinion of a chipset conflict of control at the pch controller caused by gpu request for lane reservation
