A friend of mine has a laptop. And at his home, he can not connect to his wifi. But I tried connecting to my wifi at my home and to hotspot from my phone. 

Does a driver reintall will help ? He can connect other wifis or hotspot.

Does your friend see his Network in the WiFi list?

Could it be he has a 5GHz network while his NIC only supports 2.4GHz, or maybe has a certain network protocol or encryption type which isn't supported by his NIC?
Without more info about both the laptop/nic the type of wifi and the symptomps we can't help you.

I disable the wifi network. And uninstall the driver. Then reintall it, and enable it back on.
