On a budget

I originally wanted a 1070TI because i thought it would be around 450-470€... its 500-600€..

So I don't believe that you ever said your budget, and I can't determine it in PCPP because about three of the items don't have available pricing.

CPU: Ryzen 1700@3.9ghz; GPU: EVGA 560 Ti 1gb; RAM: 16gb 2x8 Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3000; PCPP: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/b3xzzM

So

- Your power supply is way overkill, you only need a 450 watt, but get a 550 for future upgrades

- Don't buy windows full price, get a cheap oem key from ebay

- Those fans are expensive, and nocuta's alternatives are better and cheaper

- That motherboard is really expensive, not really necessary for this

- If you are going to get m.2 nvme ssd, get a 960 evo

Reasons

- My power supply is overkill but there is no rmx 650 white edition... The smallest wattage white edition is 750W

- I am not buying Windows at full price (also a placeholder)

- Those fans are to match the included 2 fans

- I Know but theres no cheaper variant with that kind of RGB and also i like for my boot screen to say "Republic of gamers" (lol)

- I think that WD Black is faster?

- Question (probably stupid): Does Ryzen support Optane?

- The case listed at my PCPP listing is actually not the case i am getting, well tehnically it is... Its Phanteks Enthoo Pro M SE which is white inside (reason for white power supply)

- Question: Can i peel of the sticker which says rm750x and still not get my warranty voided?

WD black is NOT faster, samsungs nvme ssds are known to be the fastest around http://ssd.userbenchmark.com/Compare/WD-Black-NVMe-PCIe-M2-256GB-vs-Samsung-960-Evo-NVMe-PCIe-M2-250GB/m237667vsm200373

Ryzen does not support octane, only kaby and coffee lake does, and even then, it is a waste of money

I don't know if you can remove the sticker while retaining the warranty, but I will get back to on that

Get asus strix b350-f its 100 euros cheaper, sitll will have rog logo

Yes Samsung has the fastest drives but is that not PRO versions? (Not EVO)

Why do you think that optane is a waste of Money?

b350-f doesnt have an io cover, has less io connectivity, a surge unprotected ethernet port

first of all, you are going with ryzen so it doesnt matter

is io cover really worth 100 euros

you can get an ethernet surge protector

I have an RX 470 and largely it's about able to play just about anything at 1080p.

In some instances my i3 6100 kind of holds it back in some regards.

Vram usage I don't really monitor but 4GB is generally fine enough, so really if you want an RX 470 or 570 if that's what you fancy would do just fine. Although, an RX 480 or RX 580 (again really up to you, they're basically the same card) will be a touch better and more vram which is always not a bad thing. The 1070 is a good card and it'd go nicely with a R7 1700 but it depends what resolution you're going to be using and what kind of things you might be doing with your computer if it's 1080p 60hz/60fps gaming, then for sure the 480/580 is going to be the better value. But the 1070 is clearly going to be the better performer, that's sort of a given. It's a much more expensive card.

Well, then that makes 8GB of vram a little more appealing lol

So yeah, for 3440x1440 the 1070 is a makes a lot of sense as it should be able to do most things maxed out at that res.

Point still stands the RX 480 or RX 580 would do alright at that resolution, obviously aren't going to do as well at 3440x1440 though. Not unplayable but you might have to turn down some things in some games.

At least in TF2, going from 1920x1080 to 2560x1440 there was really no change in FPS with the RX 470. Although 2560x1440 is not the native resolution of my display. 1920x1080 is. So I don't know what the change in FPS would be at native and I've been forgetting to monitor what at least that game is doing with the hardware.

But I want to lean towards the 480/580 being okay enough for 3440x1440.
