On a budget

_kR15n

So i am on a budget and i am thinking of buying one of these two graphics cards. While the RX 580 stands at 350€ and the GTX 1070 at 480€, RX 580 is obviously 130€ cheaper but also has lesser performance compared to the GTX 1070. I am asking if the difference between these two cards is actually Worth an Extra 130€. (I believe that this is irrelevant but both cards are Asus STRIX because of the Aura RGB)

RX 580: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B071CP4MPX/ref=s9u_simh_gw_i10?ie=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B071CP4MPX&pd_rd_r=f0ba2267-c3b0-11e7-bda9-4b799b7f517d&pd_rd_w=A5vfy&pd_rd_wg=EdSat&pf_rd_m=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF&pf_rd_s=&pf_rd_r=Y0MJ41162AJX41RK82FQ&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=a604e9f7-44cb-43ba-9116-40fbc776b12b&pf_rd_i=desktop

GTX 1070: https://www.amazon.de/GeForce-GTX1070-8G-Grafikkarte-Speicher-DisplayPort/dp/B01HMDRY7E/ref=sr_1_6?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1510055545&sr=1-6&keywords=gtx+1070

The PC I am planning of putting it into (not yet built): https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HkxfNN

(The 1070TI is just a placeholder)

Get vega 56. Its about 390 euros right now, and has much better performance than the 580, and comparable or better performance than the 1070

Btw getting a 1070 and using the lft money for storage ram or cooling can be a better option

lol that would be the most expensive choice

Probably but it has a reference cooler and no rgb lol rgb is life but back to important stuff it has a reference cooler which can get pretty hot and pretty loud and sound is what i am trying to avoid as well. Thats why i chose Asus cards because they have their fans off until they reach 50 degrees celsius.

Well my cheapskate mindset is telling me to ditch the aesthetics stuff and X370 mobo in favour of a B350 mobo and equally performing hardware. All this to push a 1080 or even 1080ti.

If you want to keep all those (srsly, why not B350?), The 1070 is better. Not just faster in games, but can also use CUDA acceleration

To answer why not B350: less rgb... (i Know, stupid reason...), and better overclockability

So

- Your power supply is way overkill, you only need a 450 watt, but get a 550 for future upgrades

- Don't buy windows full price, get a cheap oem key from ebay

- Those fans are expensive, and nocuta's alternatives are better and cheaper

- That motherboard is really expensive, not really necessary for this

- If you are going to get m.2 nvme ssd, get a 960 evo
