Nicehash miner will automatically switch algorithm and you get paid in Bitcoin.

But OP says that they only want to mine around 1$ for fun. Nicehash only pays out at 0.001BTC (I think) or if you use their wallet they pay out sooner, but would still be more than 1$, probably around 7/8$ depending on the current BTC price.

Hi guys,

What is the best crypto currency for mining a little bit with rx 480 and I want to mine maybe 1 dollar just for fun. Etherum can only mine 0.2 etc but i dont want to worn gpu that much and that long time.

Tnx

A video is coming to LTT YouTube soon exploring Profitability of Mining and spoiler alert: Buying hardware for mining is mostly not profitable at this point.

By mining using a GPU, you are effectively making it harder for others to mine (due to the nature of cryptocurrencies and blockchain) and thus people will want to buy more GPUs to mine better and this will put a high demand on GPUs and the price of GPUs will go up.

All of this just to have fun with mining........ Not worth it imho.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.
