HDMI audio "injector"

Short and simple because I'm on my phone: I need some sort of cable/SMALL adapter that can take a DVI, DisplayPort, or HDMI connection and take the audio from a 3.5mm jack and sorta "inject" it. I know there are boxes (such as this one that was recommended to me by someone) but they'd cause a spaghetti monster that'd be impossible to deal with AND it'd be too large for the space that the PC will be occupying. Pricewise it'd be nice if it was cheap but not too cheap that it sucks ass, and length would be nice around 4 feet if it's a normal cable.

Same company makes a smaller one that has HDMI only.

I think that it would fit and not be too much of a nightmare to deal with all the cabling, but it's honestly more than what I'm willing to spend since I plan on getting a GT1030 at some point, and the one I'd get only runs 30 bucks more than that box itself, and I'd rather save up for one of the cards on the side while I irresponsibly dump money on something with four wheels ?

 

EDIT: Just to be clear, it's certainly a plausible option, but not sure if I'd really get the most use out of it for the money I'd spend on it followed by the GPU later on.
