Editing Rig.

GPU: GTX 750 TI 2GB (i know its bad but he is only gonna be editing/rendering)

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 (overclocking it)

RAM: 8GB 2400MHz

Motherboard: Asus Prime B350M-A

Case: Corsair Spec-M2

PSU: Corsair CX500 (Green) (i know its bad but he is only gonna be editing/rendering)

HDD: he has one from his old pc.

 

it's my friend's editing rig, he is on a really tight budget so that's why im not pimping it to the best, hopefully its good enough for 1080p 50 fps

please leave feedback, dont hate im not that good at pc buiilding, its only my second time building a pc.

You're fine. Any GPU will give almost the same results. Try to test if you can overclock the ram as well and you're done.

I don't see the SSD.

Overclock it, but not too much since that Asus board has only 4 power phases without a heatsink.

I'd recommend adding some cooling to the VRM-s if overclocking. That Ryzen 5 1600 profits nicely from being overclocked.

How about a bit faster RAM? It helps Ryzen a lot.

one of the things that will defenitivly accelerate his work. is an ssd.
and im not just talking turning on and off his pc. loading files, temp folder. all that makes it very worth it versus a regular hdd.

getting a better gpu will cost more. but won't provide as much extra performance. (almost nothing tbh)
 

also. Ryzen likes fast ram. you can keep it as is, but if you can, faster the better.
