Hey guys, my name is Aidan.

I am looking to build a PC for about 2000$ (excludes display etc).

I have built it in PC Part Picker.

I am hoping for this PC to be a Gaming and Editing Pc.

Resoloution is 1440P

I am also looking to kind of future proof it.... Not to much... Just enough to last 5+- years.

here is the link : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mkNT6X

Any help would be appreciated, in making the PC Better, if you see any problems please tell me.

Looks good! Btw, for the editing you might want to get a 2TB harddrive but sure it seems good to me.

Looks good! That's one hell of a build! Although, if I were to spend almost $3k on a PC, I personally wouldn't cheap out on the peripherals. I would recommend a mechanical keyboard. You might as well make interacting with your awesome PC fun!

Personally, i would spend less on the motherboard and more on the RAM. Also, why do you need a 850W power supply for a 500W system?

Here's what i recommend (same performance but cheaper price):

CPU: Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz 6-Core Processor  ($399.99 @ B&H)
CPU Cooler: Deepcool - ASSASSIN II 70.1 CFM Fluid Dynamic Bearing CPU Cooler  ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: MSI - Z370-A PRO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  ($109.89 @ OutletPC)

Sorry if im blunt but..

That looks like other way around, same performance, more expensive. Last time i checked $2744 is less than $2782.

Now it does have more ram, and depending on what kind of editing he does, he might not need that extra 16gb ram.

You must also consider what kind of look he wants for the pc and by looking at hes parts list he wants Red / Black interior look for the pc.

The OP's parts list looks ok.

"Game" : Work in Progress
"Work" : Threadripper 3970X | Gigabyte TRX40 Designare | 128GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo 3600 CL16 | Gigabyte RTX 2080 Ti Xtreme Waterforce WB | Custom Loop | Intel X520-T2 Dual 10GbE NIC
