What cooler for i7 7700k?

Ancessca

So Question what cooler should I use? A Noctua NH-D15 or a Corsair H100i V2? What are temps for each?

NH-D15 for contrast, because it is easier to keep it clean than radiator

I assume you already have the chip?

Pay to delid it, then air cooling if you can fit it.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

I'd say the Noctua NHD-15, $22 cheaper then the corsair AIO, generally quiter (the corsair fans tend to be a little louder when under full load), delidding is also another option to consider for noticable lower temps on air cooling, no maintanence required (anything can happen with an AIO, pump failure, blockages, leaks, etc).

Get it delidded. Then you can run nice and quiet. For aesthetic reasons and general ease of build, I prefer aio. But I'd go with the h115i for the 7700k especially if you do not delid.

the maintenance and failures are uncommon?

I just got a 212 Evo for mine.  Okay, it won't look as beautiful as a water cooler, but I want some money left after I put it all together.

After you delid, almost any cooler should be more than fine in my opinion.

I got the H80i V2 for my 7700K oc'd to 5GHz and the max temp I reach while under load is 70C.

BTW my brother has the NH-D15 and it is incredible.

I actually do but not for an oc'd 7700K since my brother has gotten a bad CPU in terms of overclocking.

You can search for results in Google I guess. This cooler has a lot of comparisons to other very successful AIO's.

Of course, if eventually, you do go for an air-cooler, especially the NH-D15, make sure that you have a nice(+) airflow in your case.

I don't think delid is worth it on expensive cpu like that dude but that's just me.  The performance you get out of that is already balls to the wall fast.
