Hello,

Can anyone explain why I am getting low fps on pubg with gtx 1070 and amd ryzen 1500x as my cpu

And this is on very low settings, having paid some money for my gpu and cpu it is frustrating to see the results I am getting.

thanks!

PUBG is known for being shit optimization.

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

PUBG's frame rates are always fairly low in the starting area. Nothing to worry about there. The important question is what are your frame rates like while out on the main island?

Have you tried setting any launch commands? With many UE4 games, -sm4 -d3d10 and -useallavailablecores help on a good number of systems.

I've been using -sm4 on my system, and with the exception of effects and post processing, everything is on high or very high and I'm getting between 80 to 110 FPS with a 1080Ti & 4.2GHz 5820k at 1440p. You should be getting at least a good 60 FPS at similar settings.

You can't really compare MW2 with PUBG, the game engines are nothing alike.

Based on the screenshots above, it looks like your GPU isn't being fully utilized. Seems like the 1070 is being held back by something. I know Microsoft pushed out the Fall Creator's Update for Windows 10. I wonder if your system grabbed the update and caused something to fubar on the back end. Perhaps try disabling Xbox DVR and Windows Game Mode?

It's not even the poor optimisation point, like I get that but I used to be able to get 100 fps on high settings. I don't understand what has changed. Pretty sure other gtx 1070 users would be getting better fps than I am.

I’m used to 70fps at 4K medium/high or 63fps at 1080p MAX

I would say that you might have a bad GPU, and with that I mean that your version of It might be broken. I've experinced this twice with a gtx 750ti and a 1060. try run a benchmark to see if it's not just the game. What you should do is use display driver uninstaller (ddu) and see if that helps. But first of all see if you have old drivers and can install new ones.

You could also try overclocking but I would not recomend it in this scenario. Otherwise return it to the store to see if that helps

Not broken,

Fullscreen, Tessellation Extreme, Max/Ultra, 1080p

8x AA

and then get 30 fps on pubg on low settings, gg.

that's weird, that means it's cuz of the game. maybe try reinstall it?

Honestly doubt it that this will fix it, but I'll try it anyways.

Why people complain about performance issues in unfinished games as of lately ?

So if other ppl with the same gpu, be having

"I’m used to 70fps at 4K medium/high or 63fps at 1080p MAX"

and me on very low settings be having 30 fps, that's me complaining? Lol you funny mate.

Do you have v-sync enabled? Try disabling it.

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Spoiler

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.
