I kinnda think the futuristic looks went away.. first it was like awesome looking controllers that remind my for some reason of a spaceship and now it is just a black peace of plastic with 4 collored buttons on it..

The DualShock 4 is really great, before that my favourite was the 360 controller (I have yet to try the Xbox One controller, I'll do that when it has proper PC support)

I'll always have love for the DualShock 2 but they kind of messed up the triggers on DualShock 3 and that stupid SixAxis thing.

 

Xbox original controllers were both awful, the first one was hilariously bad, and the second one better but still not a patch on the DualShock 2.

I'm one of the few people who loved the original controller on the Xbox. I preferred it's size.
