Hyperthreading not working after overclocking (x58 Xeon)

Alrighty, got my Xeon X5675 running at 4.2GHz across all cores, but I followed a YouTube vid which excluded turning off hyperthreading. I’m assuming to lower temps, but as it maxes at 58C or so on air, I think I’m good. Any idea on what I can do to get hyperthreading running again? I reduced the BLCK to 200 from 210, maxes the voltage, and enabled hyperthreading, but that just drops it down to just over 4GHz, no change in thread count. And my mobo is an ASUS Rampage III Formula.

First thing I would do is reset the bios and see if hyperthreading is working at stock clocks. if it is, then slowly ramp back up your OC bit by bit until you hit instability and then wind it back down a notch. what voltage are you at?

1.35. And hyperthreading was working fine until I turned it off, and now when I turn it back on nothing happens. No instability, but no more threads.

You tried resetting the cmos and hyperthreading still doesn't want to turn on?

Nope. I guess I'll try resetting it to defaults and then redo all the changes with hyperthreading left on tonight.
