Buying A Refurbushed Router?

AlanAlan

Have you first troubleshot your first router? Like trying firmware upgrades or maybe switching it to an open source firmware out there? A lot of times these issues are resolved with Firmware updates.

Yes, I tried upgrading the firmware. The same problems still occur. Are those routers any good?

@AlanAlan I've briefly used an EA7500 setting it up for a friend, it seems good, im personally using an E3200 with OpenWRT on it with no complaints, the Linksys stuff tends to be pretty stable in my experience!

Will installing OpenWRT help with stability?

I installed it due to its improved feature set, but having said that I haven't had a moment of downtime bar when I was stupid and made mistakes with setups !
