"A" key won't repeat when held down

Hello,

When I press down the "A" key on the keyboard, it only registers as if I was tapping it once and not holding it down. Every other key on the board repeats itself when held, except A. It's frustrating cuz I'm a gamer and my character won't strafe left now. 

I've tried restarting the PC, changing the USB from USB 3.0 to USB 2.0, toggling FilterKeys and StickyKeys on and off, and downloaded the latest drivers and firmware from the manufacturer. Nothing has helped so far.

Any ideas on what else I can try?

P.S - The Keyboard is G.Skill Ripjaws KM780R RGB Mechanical Cherry MX Brown.

is it old? maybe clean the keyboard?

Can you try the keyboard on another computer? Or try another keyboard on your computer? See if you have the same problem?

 

Sounds like you got a defective keyboard to me.

Hmm, that will have to wait a few hours I'm afraid. But will give it a shot and let you know.
