Cheaper 1080?

Hey, I wanted to buy a 1070 Strix OC for 550euros but many people told me to just buy a cheap 1080 for around that price. Which 1080 should I pick which wouldn't be so expensive? I see a Palit gamerock and Inno3d I chill graphics card but idk which one to choose

The 1080 just got a RAM upgrade in a refresh that came to the 1060/1080 that sped up its bandwidth a bit i think a few months back, so its even more bang for the buck now. Zotac makes some decent cheaper cards, sometimes you can find MSI cards for cheaper as well. Honestly all the cards will perform roughly the same, the only difference is how well they can handle heat and how high they might be able to OC, and then factor in of course the reliability. If your gonna spend the money, it might be better to spend a couple bucks more on a reputable brand variant for good measure

Whatever the case, find a card around your pricepoint, and make sure to do some digging. look up some benchmark reviews on them to make sure it will handle the heat of running on full blast and check some reviews to know its not breaking down on everyone who buys it and you should be fine.

Palit gamerock is pretty much the best 1080 you can buy (along with the identical Palit Jetstream and Gainward Phoenix.

 

Asus strix 1080 is like 2x louder than Palit Gamerock.

 

it's completely retarded to buy a GTX 1070 for the same price as a 1080. ^^ Get the 1080. it's the better Product.
