So, i am going to be upgrading my current system, since i am selling my old parts to a friend of mine.

My plan is to get a ryzen 5 1600 since it is perfect fro what i need, and i will be overclocking this. If you can recommend a MOBO that would be great

So first problem is that, i need to get need ram and such. So my questions is:

1. is this a good upgrade i found on newegg since i do need ddr4? https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.3556935

2. I have a 430W PSU for my power supply and since i am overclocking this, will i need a need PSU (Specs listed below with "future" set up to help figure that out"

3. X370 or B350?

Also, i have heard that people coming from intel based systems and switching to ryzen have had stability issues and would need a clean drive to install too. if anyone knows any other "precautions" that might need to be made.

"FUTURE SYSTEM SPECS"

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600

CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo (THAT'S IF I CAN GET THE AM4 BRACKET)

MOBO: X370/B350 from MSI or ASUS (Open to suggestions)

GPU: Asus Strix 1060 6GB (non-OC'd ATM)

Storage: Sandisk SSD and 1TB WD HDD

PSU: Evga 430W Bronze 80+

(Also have a wifi card installed)

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT

Go B350 (I have an MSI B350 Mortar Arctic, and so far so good), X370 is only if you plan on doing SLI. Also I am not sure if the 212 Evo performs much better than the stock cooler (which performs really well), I'd look into it some more

Frostbite (White build PC)

Spoiler

MSI B350M Mortar Arctic - Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 GHz - Corsair H60 - ASUS GTX 1060 3GB DUAL OC @ (2130 MHz Core Clock + 4600 MHz Mem Clock)

2x8GB 3200MHz Corsair Vengeance C16 Corsair 400C White - EVGA 650 GQ

Razer Deathadder Chroma - Razer Blackwidow Tournament Edition Chroma - Sennheiser HD 598 SR - LG 24MP59G-P

That bundle is a good deal if you want rgb ram and mobo. Personally, some cheap patriot ram or samsung would be cheaper. Also check on microcenter.com as they have better bundles than newegg.

Am I the only one slightly worried about his power draw? The 1060 pulls like 280W and the Ryzen 5 1600 pulls somewhere around 140W

I'd say go with a 650W if you plan to upgrade. If not, consider a 550W?

i was worried about it, but i wasn't going to overclock either of them until i got a better PSU

You should be fine with that, the only thing that I would recommend is just getting a better power supply and you can find the list here LTT PSU Tier List somewhere with at least 500W. Just spend within your means. Regarding the AM4 bracket, if you buy in store they should give it out to you for free I think, at least that's what Canada Computers is doing for DeepCool AIOs.

With motherboards, save money by just going with B350, X370 just allows for SLI and usually have higher power phases but it doesn't make or break it for people. I'd recommend the ASUS B350 TUF, just because the TUF line is generally good plus the TUF line has a 5 year warranty as opposed to 3 years on other series/manufacturers.
