I was wondering if a 3630QM, 8GB of 1600MHz RAM, and a GT 635M would be able to record minecraft, play garrys mod, and stream both? Also how would this perform in After Effects, Sony Vegas, and Photoshop CC.

No. No it can't. Nope. Not at all. Nada. Gotta buy a 5000$ pc to play minecraft. (+:

It's funny because most of the people reading it will think I'm a dick. When they don't know what you & I just did with these freaking laptops. By the way, have you considered building a laptop? I've never tried, I think it'd be interesting trying to get a regular gpu into a laptop config. infact touch screen tablet/pc would be easier. I'm going to try this. pcpartpicker BRB bro.

Nope, the display drivers arent compatible with windows, linux or mac. I could port my own but it would take too long.

Here's your editing rig, Now lets cram it into a laptop size. I think you could honestly do it, with an ultra wide display. Jokes aside from the build I listed like 3000$ gpu. But lets say it this way..

having a drive bay res, smallest one you can find, smallest blackplate and gpublock, (thinest), then use acrylic piping, and a micro atx motherboard, you could cram it all into under 2inches, then do a flatscreen with a touch screen. Make it ultrawide and have the res & optical drive on the left. I'll do a horrible text sketch.

|---------------------------------|

| [ Tubing ] | Mobo ram ||

| [_RESV_] | CPU [ ]      ||

| [   SSD   ] |   [GPU]

| [    OD    ] |   [       ]

|---------------------------------|

You could probably do this...

you'd need a motherboard tray, cut it down, then custom side panels about 1 1/2" tall, then plop a screen down on it, as for powering it, i've got no fucking idea. but how bad ass would a watercooled editing laptop touchscreen custom built be?

I honestly might do this as a video editing rig for myself if I get really into  unboxing with @lilchillbi

If you must go micro atx with an fx 8 core, you should stick with the 880GM chipset.

Ditch the keyboard.

Not only are Razer black widow keyboards terrible value for money compared to other mechanical keyboards that have better build quality, it makes no sense to have a 100+ dollar keyboard tossed in with lower end hardware. I'd rather get some 10 dollar OEM keyboard to use for the time being and use the 90 saved for better hardware for the system.

Why?

Every other chipset just isn't well suited to handle fx 8 cores.

880GM isn't exactly great but it's the best option for matx.
