3tb into 2tb

I bought a 3 tb hdd and its showing up on my pc as 2 tb? do you know why?

You need to change the drive from using MBR into GPT.

Did you already fill it with data?

(you will only lose the data on the 3TB drive. and the process is very simple)

In that case it is definitely worth it, just copy the 30GB back to where it came from and convert the drive.

The process itself only takes a second.

That's 1/3 less than what you paid for, most people aren't happy with that...

1 tb is so worth it. That space you lost is two times the capacity of my main hdd lol. So yes, go and get that tb back!
