Wireless range extender

So currently I have the Nighthawk R7000 and I was looking for a range extender for the top floor of my house. The house is a townhouse and I have the router in the basement. I was looking at the NETGEAR AC750 but I thought it would be good for a second opinion.

If you can, try to move the router to the first floor, it will help significantly and is technically free! I did it with my Asus RT-AC68u router and centrally located it in my house. It hides behind a chair so no one sees it.
