left in headphones

so I have these hyper x cloud 2. and all of a sudden the headphone will play left channel in both ears unless I push the 3.5mm plug in and hold it there. so thinking it was a problem with the wire I went and did an aux port mod. that didn't change anything so i'm  wondering what the problem might be?

I've had so many problems with these. My Stingers and clouds have had this. I think HyperX just cheaps out on cables... I'm confused on your "mod" to the aux port, what did you do water cool it or overclock it? You probably OC'd the port too much. Two lefts don't make a right

the mod is i cut the wire and put a trrs 3.5mm socket on the wire. then you just plug a trrs or trs aux cord to it.
