Odd Predicament - I have an X99 2011-V3 motherboard and I also have an 4770. Which should I use?

Sorry for the long title, but my question still stands. I have recently acquired an ASRock X99 Extreme4 2011-v3 motherboard and an i7 4770, both for free. Now, I can't decide which I should use. Go with the motherboard and sell the CPU to buy something like a used 5820k and some DDR4 or sell the motherboard and use the CPU while buying a new motherboard (I already have some 16GB 1866 DDR3 ram). I am only going to be using my computer for semi CPU intensive games and then light graphic design plus possible video editing. (Sorry for any grammatical or spelling issues, I'm currently on my phone)

 

Which choice should I go with?

X99 for video editing.

Depends on budget. x99 is expensive and old. z97 is cheaper and good enough for your purposes. Since you have RAM and CPU, i'd stay there.
