Do I format orrrrrrrrrr?

I have a 960 evo for windows and some of my favorite games.  I have (2) 1 TB standard 7200 HDs that I need to store some stuff on.  How do I get my computer to recognize these 2 drives?  Do I need to format them before use?  I just have no idea.  If someone knows, please provide a step-by-step using Windows 10.  I really do appreciate it!

You just connect them, go to Disk Management, initialize and assign a drive letter, and fill them with porn games and slide-shows. 

 

Edit: Make sure the PC is off while you plug the power and SATA cables unless your board allows hot-swap.

Plug then in and go to disk manangement. Format them from there and they will be recognized.

Plug the SATA power and data connector first, then they should show up in diskmgmt.msc (just search for it in the search box). Format them there.

If they don't show up in disk management, you should go into the BIOS to check if the sata port is enabled.

if you bought them brand new or if the previous owner was smart and wiped everything properly you need to create a partition and format it first before you can use it.
