I am a student studying digital design which includes lots of 3D work and lots of professional design and I am looking to build a PC for working and rendering.

It will be used as a sort of workstation but I don't have much of a budget and I have compiled some hardware on pc partpicker. I need lots of vram for game design and video editing etc.

Any thoughts.

Msi is crap for am4 boards, and I hear you want x370 for r7 overclocking if you want it to be reliable, and it's a few bucks more but this psu would be much much more reliable https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/dDH48d/corsair-txm-gold-550w-80-gold-certified-semi-modular-atx-power-supply-cp-9020133-na

I will look into x370. I was unsure about Ryzen in general but 8 cores will be beneficial for my work load.

I would go for a non x and overclock. Animation benefits from dem cores doe. (From an animation student)
