Would water cooling necessary?

I'm building my first gaming rig, and I've chosen the AMD FX 8320 CPU.

The main question I have is would I need a water cooling system if I'm not going to OC? And how much of a boost could I get out of performing an OC?

You need nothing more than the stock fan if you're not overclocking. Performance boost of an OC depends on how much you overclock.

You can keep the stock fan but be prepared for heat and noise. If your not limited by budget get 120mm air cooler.

slightly exaggerated, the amd stock cooler aren't particularly loud. usually by using better thermal paste, like some artic silver will make a greater difference to temps than a cheap 120 mm air cooler.

What kind of motherboard should I get? I know i need one with an AMD 3+ socket, and I need an ATX design, but what else should I look for?
