Hi guys thats my first time here, i have a big problem right now, i just bought a new machine and i realized i might cheaped with the motherboard, my concerns are the following:

i've bought a 7820x with a x299 aorus gaming 3, that has an extra 8 pin conector, but i've seen the x7 and x9 got 2x8 pin on it.

do you think im fine with just 1 8 pin to overclock this chip? do i need 2 of em?

thanks in advance and sorry if i commited any mistakes im just a noob :(

The only reason you might want two 8pin CPU connectors is that the VRMs and PSU cables doesnt get overheated. It will depend on the powerdraw of the CPU/Overclock if one 8pin is sufficient or not. But from the pictures of the Aorus gaming 3 it has a beefy VRM cooler, i also think it'll be fine.

This cpu looks kinda power hungry 140w on stock i guess it goes to 200... but if u say i'll be probably ok i'll give it a chance, the next option includes wifi (don't need that)  and its like +200€. i've got a good 1250w titanium and  i'll be also runing SLI 1080ti,

i guess it will arrive in a week or so. i'll post my experience here :)

Thanks !!
