Hi there everybody,

So, yesterday Sunday the 22nd we had in Cardiff a Computer Fair to which me and my friend attended. He came with his "Black Box"

and I came with 2 of my build (pictures and specs attached)

All I can say is that we were the attraction there and everyone wanted to have a go at flight sim with Oculus Rift.

It was a nice day, even though we haven't sold anything. A great first time experience.

Short with words, really don't know what to say but I'll just attach pictures.

If I were to guess, I think only 5% of the people actually bought something. The rest just had something to do in a Sunday afternoon.

In order to display it you had to reserve a table there which was £40/table

I just wonder if those fairs are just a waste of time. I agree with your assessment that nearly no one buys there

I felt more like in a museum. Everybody was just looking at the exhibits. There were a couple of old sellers that sold a few PCs and components/peripherals.

And some prices, my god. Ex. A seller wanted £475 for a GTX 980Ti from Gigabyte, the watercooled one. I was like WTF?!?!?! I If anyone would've gave me £350 for mine I would've taken out instantly from my build.

Hi there.

I went to this fair and I was very impressed with your black box set up and the vr looked superb (even though I didn't get to have a go)

But I was quite disappointed with the fair as a whole. As you said previously I either found peripherals over priced compared to internet prices or  on the other hand very cheap and not good quality i.e. selling a gaming keyboard for £10.

I was hoping to find good quality items at good prices from brands you know so you know you are buying quality items.

Another thing which was confusing were the number of builds. There were hundreds of different builds with different components which is great but trying to filter out which build would be suitable and value for money was a minefield. And i think i only seen about 3 builds with kabby lake or ryzen processors amd they were over a £1000.

The way this event was advertised was that it would be better than internet prices, unfortunetly I dont believe that was true in this event

Hey mate. Nice to see you here. Thank you for appreciation and really sorry for not being able to have a go with the VR. It was my friends VR and he was quite moody regarding all the people that wanted to have a go.

You are totally right, it was advertised that would beat internet prices, which did not, even more some of them were higher than internet. Also they had odd builds like, 7700k with h110 mobos and stuff.

What about my 2 PCs? Or you're looking for new parts with warranty?

The Black Box was sold at the Cardiff event, for £4k to a shop from here that wants to display it in order to attract clients. Once they attact clients me and my friend will do the build for them.

Also we went to Bristol today again and we took the Black Box from that shop in order to display it (no VR though as it's quite hard to transport everything) and we also came with a new build as well in the Deepcool's case -TRISTELLAR (i7-8700K, 1080Ti, 16gbram, 3x128gb in RAID0 SSDs, etc)
