PC Booting Problems

Go to solution Solved by SMass620,

I fixed the problem by doing cmos with 2 pins and a metal object. I still cant get my pc to recognize my graphics card though

Hey, I just installed my gpu, and started the system. My monitor connected to the existing onboard graphics lit up, booted perfectly. Then I shut down to disable the integrated graphics. It had an option titled Disable Intel Graphics and it was enabled, so I disabled and I saved. The pc rebooted and nothing came up anywhere. So I rebooted it again. What do I do?

Edit:

CMOS SAVE ME. Can someone find out where cmos is on my mother board (gigabyte ga-b85m-hd3 r4)

make sure to set ur dedicated gpu as ur PCI-E gpu not iGPU when u turn off the igpu ;v

maybe ur using a wrong port on ur gpu tbh :P could be that u put the monitor in output slot 2 of the gpu, while slot 1 actually gives the screen ._.

You have to plug the monitor into the GPU.

Your CMOS is the little round battery under the socket. Remove it for a minute or so, put it back in, boot.

I'm keeping everything else the way it was for anyone who might check out my answers in future, but I won't be using LTT.

Which one do you mean, can u send me a diagram

There should only be one. Circle. To the right, directly underneath your cpu socket.

Do I need to buy another battery for cmos or do I put it out for a sec, then put it in?

No, you shouldn't. Just take it out for a min and put it back in. However it may also just be worth trying with a new one, in which case you need to buy a CR2032 lithium coin cell, which you can buy at your local supermarket or office supply store for a few dollars.
