yeah, same here. my parents will be going nuts when they are seeing the power bill Nut sure how much my rig pulls but i guess i folded around 250€ into ~5mio points aswell

The advantage to using a Sempron. Slow, but power-efficient progress. I might start GPU folding soon.

i dont think you are more efficient. I get 30k points every 5.5h at ~250w. That makes 1375w for 30k points or 21.81p/w whats yours?

I don't know, but I'm talking about the amount of power it uses at full tilt for 24 hours, which is less than my P4, which used double the power for the same PPD.

My guess is around 100K PPD, but I'm no expert - it would mean around three years of folding to pass Whaler if you folded 24/7

AMD cards don't get very good PPD because F@H is more optimized for Nvidia. So it's not 7 times more powerful, but it would probably yield 7x higher PPD.

It has changed now with core17 WU. My 7950 gets around 80k PPD just need to add in the flags on your clients. AMD cards are now comparable to Nvidia cards.

My 6570 gets as much as your 2600K sometimes.

Your proposed dominator rig would do about as good as my current rig. When beta tags were applicable I was getting up to 120k PPD which is why I'm so damn high on the F@H team, advanced tags will help leverage that too. Although at some point my PPD plummeted to around 30K and now I've mostly stopped folding.... I have big plans to rectify this though
