Hello users,

I've made my mind on building my new pc. I want to hear opinions and recommendations from other users to gain better knowledge for my final decision.

I picked these parts (link below) as the best suited, in my opinion, parts to buy to meet my 2 primary requirements, performance and longevity°.

*Longevity = As long as it can run most games more than 30fps. And be able to work on it.

                                    Thanks. - Mr.Confy

Complete build, reference.

For you needs, Ryzen is OK.

But for god's sake, dont get B350 mobo and 1700X.

Still check out the 8th gen.

Get a 16GB B-Die memory kit, Flare-X or Trident Z (C4)

Don't buy Apple M1 computers with 8GB of RAM

@HKZeroFive Gaming at highest frame rate is not actually something I'm set to, The build is a overall pc that can play decent games without any hindrance. The monitor was chosen because of the low response time and LED screen more than the 144Hz bonus.

@dave_k I've read the post so I'm going to check on a different mobo.

I'll check the other recommended parts bit by bit.

1. The "low response time" is just marketing. There's no accurate way of measuring it since it varies widely... and 2. All modern monitors have LED. I'm surprised you prioritised those two "features" over the 144Hz refresh rate.

But I digress. The point of the build is to game and the Intel Coffee Lake processors would be a better choice, especially for 1080p 144Hz.

Excuse me? what. That is an Z370 board there is nothing to discuss you don't own the product and you certainly can't tell if it is 'Garbage'

It has 4 phase Vcore garbage VRM with SM4337 and SM4503 mosfets from Sino. Total garbage and will run damn hot even with 8700K stock. Heatsinks are joke too.

*eats popcorn while watching forum, researches better picks and work as well.*

Common points within recommendations. 16GB no more needed, better cpu cooling (Will take a note on that), SSD HDD wombo combo, video card similar but ± core clock. Intel intel !Π†€|, 80+ Gold (ok I will). Continuing research.

Explain to me why you recommend a 8700k. I've been out of pc info since july, and now even less since I took 2 hurricanes and been working in St. Thomas. Thanks
