Canon Claiming a $2500 Camcorder is for Consumers

DavePlays

I kinda support this move.... If you're buying a camcorder these days, you're likely not buying it to document your family trip to Disney Land. You're buying it because you're a pro-sumer, or a budding videographer and your DSLR just isn't cutting it for you anymore.

With the impressive video capture capabilities like the new Sony flagship I see devices like these becoming more and more niche tbh.

PS can a mod fix the underline, can't seem to do it on from my phone.

The only camcorder I ever actually owned was a Sony DCR-TRV310 that was passed down to me from my father in 2001. He bought it for $1,300 and I've never actually used anything else to record videos sooooo.....

Being a pro video enthusiast (it's my job), still not worth that price tag.

Also, that JVC cam does have 1080p120, which I'd prefer over 2160p60

1080p at 120 sounds interesting indeed but are the optics as good as Canon's?

If you know the quirks of the camera, the results can be pretty darn good!
