Everytime I start my Hp notebook I have to wait like 10 minutes for the desktop to load

When I start my HP notebook (HP Laptop 15-bw0xx) after entering my password I get a black screen and no desktop icons or taskbar I can run the task manager and the security options but it takes a while for the normal desktop and task bar ect to load how can I prevent this.

Btw I tried to factory reset my Laptop But windows was stuck on 1% for getting things ready page IDK what happened.

And I need this computer for school I wouldn't mind a laptop that I didn't need to wait half the lesion for to just load the desktop not to mention that there is only a hard drive that windows is installed on.

Time to upgrade to SSD bud. $100 can get you 200-ish GB. Your HDD combined with that CPU (or should I say, APU), makes for very low performance. SSD should help boost your performance a bit

also you can buy "broken" ssds and just plug in sata power and let it run without sata cable for 10 min most times  it fixes it and that how you get a ssd for 20 €

I would love to take my system apart and but in an SSD however I don't know the type of screw that HP uses and I don't feel like buying another Copy of windows (which can be as high as $100 in my country). would I be able to maybe backup my system to like an external Hard Drive then replace my laptop's storage drive and restore? And how will I mount my SSD would I have to Super Glue it on my laptops case?

Screw type should be a standard Phillips screw (or Torx T5, not so common as it is found on expensive laptops). Windows license should be embedded within your laptop's BIOS if it is bought during or after Windows 8 era. You can do cloning so that you can run your laptop as is with SSD. As for mounting... Your laptop should have its own bracket that houses the 2.5" HDD, please don't use super glue, it is highly not recommended and not needed.

It's more than likely not the hard drive causing the issue. I've never seen an HP computer have a fully working copy of Windows preinstalled. Do a reinstall of Windows.

I have a friend with a HP laptop, also with AMD APU and HDD. He has the same problem so I think it's the CPU and HDD that slow down the PC
