Can you install elemntal x rom on htc one non google edition

On the download site it says for google play edition but my htc one is not the google play edition just the default so can i still download and install the elemental x rom on my non google edition htc one ( after rooting the device of course )

if you can get the bootloader unlocked (which you need to root) the yes

 

but its not always a sure shot. some(almost all) carries lock there phones boot loaders unlocking status. that means you cant unlock your phone.
