Galaxy S8 wifi brainfarts when connected to bluetooth speaker

Okay, I pretty much don't know how to describe this other than when my phone is paired with a bluetooth speaker, its Wi-Fi capabilities decrease drastically, to the point where you can be meters away from a router and the Wi-Fi would still cut off or produce responsiveness and download speeds that Don't suffice for a smooth 144p playback. A soon as I disable Bluetooth or go to my mobile data, the problem solves itself.

 

Do I have a faulty unit? Is it normal that you can't use Bluetooth pairing along with Wi-Fi without interruption? 

If my phone is broken, the warranty will cover it, right? Is there anything I can do to fix this?
