If you don't own a console, I suggest watching a play-through of the campaign. It's honestly so worth it, but I know how it feels to be lost in a story without a whole lot of backstory or lore explain. At least give it a try! :)

im a destiny noob too, played it last night, it was pretty straight forward

not totally sold on it yet but its got potential

I started playing Destiny 2 last night when it came out on PC. The coop is super fun, me and a friend played for almost four hours straight. It felt like barely an hour :D. Other than that I've been playing League of Legends and PUBG.

4 hours... That be noob hours! When Overwatch released, I must have played a solid 7-8 Hours :L

Funny thing that I was playing for 2 hours, and then I've realized that when you are selling something you should add buyers money by hand, so I'm just giving the gifts all time xD

so destiny 2 clicked with me last night, about 5 hours in,

cracking game, I am real impressed by it

im not going to piss on anyone for liking it but im sure not going to recommend it to anyone ever; its not a true halo game by any stretch outside the (old) characters that hang around for fan-service

no, you need a squad to get loot (which is where you get good stuff) so you'll have to make friends or work with randoms

 

there is virtually no joy in single player; even if you're good at it, it's basically hit point sponges

I did collect all the loot though. Don't know why... Witcher gear is better, but I did it anyway.

I got it during the sale for the 10 year anniversary and have played 20+ hours in the first 2 days. It's a great game but I've taken a break from it since I played it before and I just caught up with where I was before.

played it a lot over the weekend and it has become my game of the year,

I am really enjoying it,

the best fps I have played in years

totally did not expect that

wasn't on my radar at all

 

edit: it has felt like a single player game the whole time to me, just every so often there's real folks and a public event, but I haven taken part in a public event yet
