Lian li boat build?

SlicedAce

Thats a pretty low end build to run 4-5 monitors 0,o are they all 1080p and not gaming but just content? Depending on what your doing maybe? Id say beef it up if your gonna be putting some extensive loads into it.

Also, you picked out 3000 MHz ram, did you check the MOBO QVL to see if itll even take it? If not youll most likely get it downclocked to 2133 which would defeat the purpose of spending an arm and a leg for that ram.

No gaming just office work. Lots of constantly updating graphs

Even if the mobo says it can, if its not listed in the QVL (Qualified Vendors List) which you can find on the motherboards website, there is no promise that specific ram stick will run at that speeds. One of the most common things ive seen lately (more so with ryzen builds) is the ram not capable of running at the desired or promised speeds due to not verifying if that specific ram has been tested to work.

in terms of the workload, If it was just graphs, PDF, CSV, like basic programs running, it might do okay with that many monitors.

you dont need a 1050 then , a 1030 will do that just fine, you only select higher end gpu's for their 3d capability otherwise a 1030 and a 1080 have the same 2d performace

also the 1050 you selected is only capable of 3 monitors not 5. it might only even do 2 if its ports are shared which is a thing.

  • Don't get that motherboard. It's not good for an ITX board, it has issues with the VRMs.
Honestly, for a build like that I'd go Intel, they have better ITX board selection.
  • You probably need a video card with more outputs. You can split DisplayPort but I'm not sure how many can run off a single one.
  • You can get a much lower wattage PSU.
  • Go with a cheaper SSD. No need for the EVO.
  • I'd aim for 16GB of RAM.

I suppose any , as it's such a low end card it doesn't really matter which one you get.

you'd need two of them for more than 2 or 3 monitors

I'm pretty sure he picked that case for a pretty specific reason, thus that's not an option.
