Of the two, I'd go for the LG Gram.

You'd probably want something with a dGPU for video editting. Even a 940MX/MX150 would be better than Intel HD 620 graphics.

I'd look at the Acer Swift 3, it should be around the same price as the 5 but comes with an 8th generation processor and MX150 graphics.

Only issue with that one is that I can't do monthly payments on it through Amazon :/. I really like the idea of it because I don't have to open a credit card. Really I wish Razer offered something like that because then I'd just get a blade

In that case the Gram (well, both since they have the same specs) should be decent for 1080p video editting.

I'd checkout some YouTube reviews on them before deciding. Should give you a good idea of their pros and cons.

Are there any 8th generation laptops available with Amazon's monthly payment option?

There was only one review of that specific Gram and it wasn't exactly glowing :/

You probably want more than bottom of the line i5 for even light video editing. You'll probably end up wanting to do more with your computer and end up just being frustrated.

Yeah, I kind of ended up figuring I won't be satisfied unless I go $1000+
