Hey guys, just built my system yesterday and for some reason the CPU is sitting at 1.33mhz. All drivers are up to date and when in the bios I have "game mode" enabled to give a little OC. I have tried turning that off. Nothing seems to be working. The mobo is a MSI b350 gaming plus. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Modern CPUs by default clock down to save power when there isn't anything requiring a lot of grunt. Fire up e.g. Cinebench and check your clocks when it's running, and you're likely to see the clock-speed jump up to where it's supposed to be.

Just ran cinebench.... usage topped out at 43% and clock speed didnt go past 1.34. Also got a terrible score of 467. Task manager also says max speed 3.2mhz if that helps.

Dont use that app, uninstall it, reset CMOS and update your BIOS to latest version.

Okay, so I uninstalled ryzen master, reset CMOS, and it set my cpu back to 3.2. However, I went into bios and turned on XMP to increase my RAM speed and my cpu dropped back to 1.33.... reset the CMOS again, fixed it. So how the hell do I get my ram closer to its actual clock speed and OC the cpu without it throttling
